Zlatan Ibrahimovic has officially rejoined Manchester United, and the Swedish star has vowed to be ‘even better’ than last season. Ibrahimovic moved to United on a free contract in the summer of 2016, and won three trophies during his first year with the club.
If Manchester United didn’t look dangerous enough this season, the reintroduction of Zlatan Ibrahimovic into the squad makes them firm title contenders. The 35-year-old scored 28 goals for United before his season was cut short back in April, when he suffered a serious knee injury. Zlatan was linked with a move to the MLS; however, he looks to have recovered far earlier than many anticipated, and is now looking to complete his ‘unfinished business’ with Manchester United.
Zlatan said: “It’s a new challenge for me obviously but I am strong mentally and when I focus on an objective nothing can stop me. It doesn’t matter what’s in my way I will break everything to reach my goal.”
“When I come back to play football on the field I will be better than before. I am not coming back because I am the one I am, I am coming back to be a better version of the old one. Imagine how that will be.”
