For Kevin Durant it has been a case of enjoying and making the most of his offseason. Of course he’s been living it up in sunny L.A., but also managed to squeeze in a trip to India, and was spotted recently at a New York City charity function.
Whilst in NYC the NBA Finals MVP oversaw the inauguration of a basketball court on New York’s East Side, and in doing so the superstar was giving back to kids in a neighborhood of need through his foundation.
So, he had to be asked, would the Golden State Warriors forward ever come and play for the city’s New York Knicks? Durant’s answer was pretty clear-cut: “Never.”
Durant made a move last season leaving the Thunder for Golden State and hey, after winning his first NBA championship and signing a two-year deal worth a cool $53 million, we can understand he’s not looking to move anywhere else in the near future. Lets face it, the Knicks are far from winning an NBA championship and would possibly be one of the last teams in his list.
But lets face it, with the superstar opening a court for the needy in the Big Apple even the most jaded of fans have got to show him some love even if he doesn’t plan to move to New York anytime soon.
