After missing out on Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund’s star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for £70 million. The Gabonese player is also linked with a move to AC Milan.
With Diego Costa reported to be on his way back to Atletico Madrid, Chelsea are desperate to sign a new attacking player. The club were linked to both Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata, but with the former moving to Man Utd and the latter looking unlikely, the Blues are now weighing up their options.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has become one of the most prolific strikers in Europe over the last few years. Since joining Dortmund in 2013, the 28-year-old has scored an impressive 85 goals in 128 appearances for the club. He was the top goalscorer in the Bundesliga last season with 31 goals – a personal best.
Should Chelsea agree to Dortmund’s demands, Aubameyang will be the club’s most expensive signing since Fernando Torres in 2011.
