The Buffalo Bills have traded their starting receiver Sammy Watkins to the Los Angeles Rams. Watkins is one of a number of players to leave the franchise, as the Bills continue to shake up their roster.
Buffalo opened their pre-season with a 17-10 loss to Minnesota on Thursday, and the Bills have wasted no time in rebuilding their team following a huge offseason overhaul. Shortly after announcing Watkins’ departure, the Bills revealed that they had acquired Jordan Matthews from the Philadelphia Eagles. The team have also shuffled their cornerbacks sending Ronald Darby to the Eagles, and bringing in E.J Gains as part of the Watkins deal with the Rams.
Jordan Matthews was a huge figure at the Eagles, averaging 75 catches, 6 touchdowns, and 891 receiving yards. Outgoing cornerback Ronald Darby made 29 appearances during his two seasons with The Bills. The 23-year-old was a second round pick back in 2015.
