There’s not a person who follows football, or lives in New York, that finds it hard to believe the awful start to the 2017 season for the New York Giants. Even their star wide receiver is in total disbelief.
After yet another loss on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Giants Pro Bowl wide-out Odell Beckham Jr spoke out about the state of affairs for the team.
Beckham told reporters: “I would’ve never thought we’d be 0-4.” Adding: “But that’s what our record is. You can’t cry about it. We just have to get that first win and go from there.”
It was only last year that the team lost just five games. Fast forward to this year and you’ve got a Giants team that seem to keep finding new and creative ways to take an loss. As we enter Week 5 as one of four NFL teams still looking for their first win, what’s it going to take to turn this season around. Beckham himself hasn’t himself or the team any favors. His average production for the team, as well as his on field antics, make his season and the Giants’ one to forget up till now.
So G-Men, a team-wide wake-up call is in order or you can forget the rest of season that’s for sure.
